Receives Traveling Trophy for "Tans for Cans"
Each December, The Salvation Army, CARS 108
and Tropi Tan team up to bring you "Tans for Cans"
where customers of Tropi Tan locations in Genesee County can
donate canned food to be used to help feed people in need
and in return, tan for free in an upgrade sunbed at Tropi
Tan. All cans of food are then donated to The Salvation Army
of Genesee County.
The Salvation Army awarded Tropi Tan Bristolwood
the traveling trophy at their Annual Recognition Dinner held
April 19th for most cans collected for the 2010 season with
480 cans being collected. Over 9,200 cans of food have been
collected and donated since the start of this worthy cause
in 2007! We are proud to be a part of this promotion and look
forward to "Tans for Cans" each year. We would like
to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of our
customers who donated to Tans for Cans; your generosity is
appreciated!

WHAT IS MYSTIC TAN SUNLESS TANNING?
The Mystic Tan booth utilizes a spray on process
designed to deliver a sunless tanning application.
Inside the Mystic Tan room the tanner simply
disrobes and enters the booth. With the push of a button the
session begins with a fine mist of Aloe Vera enriched sunless-tanning
solution being sprayed through the patented MagneTan nozzles.
The MagneTan technology ensures uniform coverage
over the entire body, which the proprietary sunless tanning
solution instantly transforms into a quick natural looking
tan that continues to darken throughout the day.
A perfectly uniform, natural looking tan in
seconds.
HOW DOES MYSTIC TAN WORK?
The Mystic Tan tanning solution has 3 components:
Bronzer, DHA and Aloe Vera.
The bronzer is a water-soluble cosmetic dye
designed to produce an instant tan. The bronzer tan remains
on the skin until it is washed off in a shower or bath. The
brown bronzer color can be seen in the bath water but will
not stain because it is completely water-soluble.
The DHA (dihydroxyacetone) is the component
that creates the longer term tanning effect. When applied
to the skin, DHA reacts with proteins and amino acids in the
skin's superficial layer to form a golden brown color. It
will begin to darken 2 to 3 hours after application but it
reaches its peak color within 24 hours. The DHA color and
intensity will be very close to that produced initially by
the bronzer. The DHA tan will begin to fade within four to
five days. To maintain an optimal tan an individual should
tan every four to five days.
The Aloe Vera helps to carry the DHA deeper
into the skin and promotes softer, smoother skin. The Mystic
Tan tanning solution contains more than 65% stabilized Aloe
Vera liquid. Aloe Vera is a natural moisturizer that helps
the skin draw moisture into the surface. It softens the skin
and helps smooth wrinkles.

sunless tanning creams, you can avoid the mess and time consuming
task of applying these creams by hand. One short tanning session

but due to concerns about UV exposure you don't. Now you can
with Mystic Tan.
Current Tanners: If you are currently tanning,

Jesse Metcalfe,
more popularly known as Miguel Lopez-Fitzgerald on the NBC
soap opera Passions and as John Rowland on the ABC tv drama
