Tan Oxford Now Open!
The brand new Tropi Tan in Oxford opened its doors
for business this past Friday. The new salon is located at 974 N.
Lapeer Rd. in Oxford. The salon is 2,600 square feet and features
20 tanning units including the new MyMist SkinSpa unit and the Open
Sun 1050 high pressure tanning unit. Stop in and check it out.

Tropi Tan Easter Egg Has Been Found!
Tropi Tan Congratulates 2008 Easter Egg Hunt Winner

After days of looking in all the wrong places, three
lucky Genesee County residents found Tropi-Tan’s grand prize
“Easter Egg,” and won their very own tanning bed!
Tropi-Tan congratulates Pam Houston of Flushing,
who, along with her daughter Candace Follen and son-in-law James
Follen, found the Tropi Tan “Easter Egg” in Davison’s
Richfield Park. All three of them being occasional indoor tanners
– especially to prepare for the warmer weather – the
thought of having her own tanning bed convinced Pam to try her luck
at Tropi-Tan’s 10th annual Easter Egg Hunt.

“I had been collecting all the clues and driving
around by myself but ended up going to the wrong places,”
Pam laughed. “First, I thought it was hidden in Fenton, then
after a few more clues I thought it was in other locations in Davison.”
Seeing that she might need some help solving this mystery, she enlisted
her daughter Candace and Candace’s husband James to aid in
the search. After striking out yet again in Geneseeville, it was
Candace who began putting the clues together that led them to Richfield
Park.
“We began walking through the park and we
followed the clue that stated ‘left, right, left’ and
as we continued, Candace looked up and there at the base of a tree
at the top of a hill was something that looked like the egg,”
Pam recalled. “She climbed up there and brought it down and
sure enough, it was. We were all very excited!”
Pam has decided to have the tanning bed installed
at Candace and James’ house, but plans to stop over to use
it as much as she can.
Tropi Tan would like to thank everyone who participated
in the egg hunt. Look for another exciting egg hunt coming next
year!
03/11/08: Hundreds
of Egg Hunters Came to Get the Bonus Clue!
Tropi Tan gave a out a bonus clue this past Saturday
at the Silverton Collection location and it was a madhouse. Hundreds
of egg hunters came by to get the bonus clue and hopefully find
that egg! As of today, noone has found the egg so keep looking!

10th Annual Tropi Tan Easter Egg Hunt Starts Monday!
It's that time again - time to start
searching for that egg hidden somewhere in Genesee County! The hunt
begins on Monday, February 25, 2008.
Tropi Tan has hidden an egg somewhere
in Genesee County. Listen to CK 105.5 each weekday for clues to
the location of the egg. 1 clue per day will be given out on CK
105.5 at 7:40 AM and repeated again at 4:50 PM. Be the first to
find the egg and follow the instructions inside and you WIN a tanning
bed valued at over $3,000 from Tropi Tan! There's lots of suprises
in store so keep listening to CK 105.5 for details. Good luck and

Tan Congratulates Bring Em In & Win Contest Winner

Tropi-Tan congratulates Cheryl of Lapeer for winning
the Tropi-Tan “Bring ’Em In & Win” contest
– and a trip to beautiful Las Vegas!
Tropi-Tan’s “Bring ’Em In & Win” contest
asked tanners to give referral cards to their friends and families,
with the person who referred the most new members winning a trip
to Las Vegas. That person was Cheryl, who had some special motivation
to participate. “My husband Pat and I were married on September
16, 2000, and we both wanted to get married in Las Vegas because
we’ve never been there,” explained Cheryl. “Although
a Vegas wedding sounded exciting, I wanted all of my family to be
there, so we decided to have a Harley Davidson-themed wedding on
our property in Lapeer instead.”
Cheryl was immediately excited to hear about Tropi-Tan’s
“Bring ’Em In and Win” contest. “I saw an
opportunity to possibly win a trip to Vegas so we could renew our
vows, so I decided I was going to try my hardest to win!”
she exclaimed. Cheryl, who tans at Tropi-Tan’s Lapeer location,
passed out at least 40 referral cards to her friends, family and
acquaintances, urging them to come in to “get their tan on.”
Many of them did, making her the winner. “Every time I came
in to tan, I would ask the girls at the counter how the contest
was coming along and they really didn’t know,” she recalled.
“Then one day, I came in and they told me Roy (Tropi-Tan General
Manager) wanted to talk to me on the phone, but they wouldn’t
tell me why. When they got him on the phone, he said, ‘Do
you want to go to Vegas?’”
The most exciting part about winning, Cheryl says, was telling
her husband. “When he came home from work that night I asked
him, ‘Would you want to marry me again in Las Vegas?’”
she said. “He asked me what I meant, and I told him about
winning the contest. We plan to leave for Vegas on September 15
so we can renew our vows the next day on our seventh wedding anniversary.
We’re both very excited and looking forward to it!”
While Cheryl and Pat are excited about their upcoming trip to Vegas,
she added that she plans to continue tanning at Tropi-Tan.

Metcalfe Makes Surprise Appearance at Tropi Tan!
Jesse Metcalfe, more popularly known as Miguel Lopez-Fitzgerald
on the NBC soap opera Passions and as John Rowland on the ABC tv
drama Desperate Housewives stopped into the new Tropi Tan in Brighton
on February 17th to get his tan on. He took a few moments to pose
for pictures with Chuck Thompson, owner of the Brighton salon, and
some of the customers at Tropi Tan.
